Cornavin Decompression Diver P810

About the history of this special watch:

The Cornavin P810 Diver is one of the most legendary and rarest Swiss pocket watches in history.

It was introduced to the market in the late 1950s and is considered the “third” major Swiss diver’s watch, following icons such as the Rolex Submariner and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.
What makes the Cornavin P810 so special?
  • The first decompression table on the dial: Instead of a traditional rotating bezel, the entire surface of the dial is designed as a decompression table (for depths up to 40 meters). This allowed divers to immediately see how long their safety stops needed to be during ascent.
  • “Wandering Hours”: The watch does not have a traditional hour hand. Instead, the hours are displayed via a rotating disc located beneath the dial in a small viewing window (aperture). Only the minutes and seconds are displayed in the traditional manner, with hands extending from the center.
  • Eye-catching radium hour markers: The vintage models feature distinctive square radium hour markers at the quarter-hour marks
  • The Movement (Felsa 810): The watch is powered by a Felsa 810 automatic caliber (often gold-plated). It is based on the famous “Bidynator,” the first automatic movement with a rotor that winds from both sides.

On the watch, the abbreviation AMF stands for American Machine & Foundry Co.

The Swiss Subsidiary: In 1952, AMF opened offices in Geneva, which gave rise to AMF Overseas Corp. in 1958.

The goal of this Swiss subsidiary was to acquire and market European patents in the sports and diving sectors.

Absolutely authentic, unmodified, untouched Cornavin P810 decompression diver’s watches in top condition!!!

The beautifully designed dial and hands are in pristine condition, and the radium luminous material (approx. 140 microsieverts per hour according to a Geiger counter) is still fully intact and luminous (it goes out immediately when removed from UV light).

The radium luminous material on the hands and dial is in its original condition and has developed a beautiful vintage look over time.

The second hand is a different color (green)—and that’s how it’s supposed to be.

The original Plexiglas has minimal signs of wear.

The case is unpolished and shows only minimal signs of wear—a rarity that is certainly worth mentioning.

Only the crown was certainly replaced at some point, but a waterproof, domed crown from that period has been installed.

The Felsa 810 caliber movement runs perfectly and is in flawless working order in all its functions.
